| unixODBC is an open source
project whose aim is to provide the definitive data access
standard for non-Windows platforms. unixODBC has achieved
wide support from database, application and tools vendors
including IBM, Computer Associates and Borland. It is included
with leading Linux distributions such as RedHat, SuSE and
United Linux and is widely used on Solaris, AIX, HP/UX and
other proprietary Unix platforms.
unixODBC is provided under
LGPL and GPL licenses. Easysoft are the principal supporter
of the unixODBC project providing project management, development
resources plus technical and infrastructure support to the
project. This includes assistance for third party vendors
wishing to include support of ODBC in their products. |
