AuditPro for SQL Server
|
Microsofts SQL Server has had some very critical security flaws being discovered and exploited in the past couple of years. Most of these vulnerabilities could have been protected against, had the servers been patched and security measures followed. AuditPro for SQL is designed to help you detect any unpatched servers, weak passwords, and all possible insecure configurations. APSQL automatically discovers all the SQL servers in your network and works with Named Instances as well.
Key Features of AuditPro for SQL
Automatically discovers all SQL servers in the network Works with Named Instances of SQL Server Checks for weak password by standard dictionary attacks Captures baseline of the SQL Server allowing you to carry out Differential Audits. See below for more details Checks for more than 70 different system mis-configurations. Click here for a detailed list Checks for unpatched vulnerabilities, with details on patch number and Microsoft KB article Detailed HTML report showing vulnerabilities found, risk level associated, and countermeasures for the vulnerability Works with SQL 6, 7 and 2000
Baseline - Differential Audits
One of the most critical features of APSql is its ability to capture baselines of the security posture of the server. This is saved offline and every time you run the tool it compares the earlier baseline with the current one. This allows you to determine levels of compliance with each successive audit. The Baseline stores all critical information such as database configuration parameters, users, roles, tables, privileges, and more. It then compares this with the current parameters and shows you areas of decreasing or increasing compliance with the security policy.
Benefits of using of AuditPro for SQL
APSql has more features than any other scanning product available today. Some of them dont work on Named Instances, and none of them allow you to do Differential Audits. The manual audit of an Oracle server can take a good auditor more than a day, including the analysis of the data and preparation of the report. Even then, the auditor will end up skipping a few checks By ensuring that a single tool audits only a single software, our tools always check products in depth and in breadth ensuring that even those vulnerabilities that have the minutest chance of getting exploited are discovered and brought to you notice. Differential Audits allow you to quickly assess how fast the system is being brought into compliance with the stated security policies
