CDB/Auto-Reorg XL reorganizes
non-partitioned indexes (NPIs) much faster than alternative
Reorg methods. Employing a patented no-SORT process, CDB/Auto-Reorg
XL allows continuous data availability. CDB/Auto-Reorg XL
reads and writes NPI dataset "pieces" in parallel and calculates
new boundaries for each of the NPI datasets.
In addition, CDB/Auto-Reorg
XL creates the Root Page and merges the spacemap pages.
Based on user-defined criteria, CDB/Auto-Reorg XL will automatically
determine what NPIs need to be reorged and dynamically allocate
needed workspace. CDB/Auto-Reorg XL is completely non-destructive
and will automatically restart in the event of a job failure
without any JCL changes.
