|
IBM Application Recovery Tool for IMS and DB2 Databases simplifies and coordinates the recovery of both IMS and DB2 data to a common point, cutting the time and cost of data recovery and availability.
If you have applications in your enterprise that access both IMS and DB2, IBM ART uses image copies for both databases and establishes synchronization points (Virtual Image Copies) to which recovery can be performed. IBM ART can also be used to recover individual IMS or DB2 applications.
Versions 6 and 7 of both IMS and DB2 are supported. IBM Application Recovery Tool is the new name for DB2 Recovery Manager and is a replacement for IMS Recovery Saver. It provides support for both IMS and DB2 batch applications running with z/OS and OS/390.
