Smart/RRSAF lets you run DB2 batch programs with regular JCL, so they look and behave like standard OS jobs. This ensures accurate SMF job accounting and accurate jobstep completion codes to prevent SNAFUs in DB2 batch production.

Smart/RRSAF transparently supports both RRSAF and CAF. Applications can utilize either DB2 attachment without need for user code to manage an explicit DB2 connection. Smart/RRSAF enables your applications to update DB2, MQ, IMS and/or any other RRS compliant resources within a single unit of recovery and implements a variable COMMIT frequency.

Moreover, you can migrate from TSO Attach to Smart/RRSAF without source changes. (Note: Smart/RRSAF is the successor product to Smart/CAF.)
