The program
has these main features: How it originated Unlimited databases.
Each record in the database can be a complete document (or
portion).
Heirarchal structure to provide easy navigation using the
information tree (Entries are automatically sorted alphabetically.)
Industrial strength full-text indexing with an editable
exclusion list.
Reopen any imported document in its original application.
One click "send" to an open word processor. Handy
when "finding" information and copying it to an
external document. Send an entire document or selected portion.
The word processor is found automatically.
Industrial strength yet simple to use search engine. Fully
supports expanded logic, "sounds like" and proximity
searches just like the big engines do. For the computer
novice an easy to use "guru" style interface is
provided to make things a snap.
This program originated due to the author's frustration.
It was discovered (and lamented) that over time, the computer
becomes filled with small files containing valuable information
scattered all over the drives. The operating system provides
a rudimentary "search" facility, but it's slow
and cumbersome to use. In addition, once a file is found,
it still has to be opened in a "program" designed
to edit it.
Using DocsPDite, all this has changed. Finally, I'm "organized"
and can keep up with all those little tidbits of information
that are needed daily but difficult to track. It was easy
to create several databases to keep up with my data. DocsPDite
is always running on my machine and so when something new
comes along (that should be saved), it's a simple matter
to use the "clipboard" to copy it into a database
record (document). Later, when it's needed again, finding
it is a "snap", taking only seconds using the
search engine.
It takes remarkably little effort to get "organized"
using this program. If I can do it, so can you! No longer
will you be drowning in filenames and waste time searching
for data. It will be right at your fingertips.
