Download SQL Server 2000 Service
Pack 3a (SP3a), the latest and most comprehensive update to
SQL Server 2000 that corrects vulnerabilities including the
Slammer (W32.slammer) virus.
If you have applied SP3, you do not need to apply SP3a.
SP3a is primarily intended for SQL Server users who have
not applied any versions of SP3 and for MSDE users who want
to choose the new "disable network protocols"
option. Additionally, you should use SP3a rather than SP3

Updates for the database components of SQL Server 2000 include:
Data engine. Database client utilities, such as SQL Server

Connectivity (ODBC) driver, and the client Net-Libraries.
