Omnidex is an information access engine that allows instant selection of data by any combination of search criteria, including keywords and wildcard values, spanning multiple fields and tables or files, all against your existing database.

External Design
Omnidex indexes reside external to the database. Existing databases can be enhanced with instant retrieval without affecting their content or design.
Flexibility
Omnidex provides three APIs - ODBC, JDBC, OmniAccess - for the most flexibility in application development. All three APIs support standard SQL for data retrieval as well as some Omnidex specific extensions.
Custom applications can be written in C, C++, Java, Visual Basic, .NET and more.
The Omnidex ODBC driver also provides access for ODBC compliant tools like Microsoft Access and Excel, Brio, Business Objects, Crystal Reports and MicroStrategy.
Omnidex supports Oracle, SQL Server and DB2, as well as flat file databases on all supported operating system platforms.
