Unicenter Data Compressor for DB2
|
Data Compressor provides a selection of several routines for compressing data in DB2 for OS/390 to help save valuable disk space. Its analysis facility can be used to determine how effectively a routine will perform with a dataset.
Analysis can be performed against the table itself, or against an image copy, avoiding table contention during table analysis. DBAs can take advantage of ESA compression without having DB2 V3 support.
